Art was appointed to the academic board of the Australian Institute of Music (AIM) in April 2013
He is Chair of the ‘Course Advisory Committee’ for the University of Western Sydney College’s ‘Associate Degree in Creative Industries’.
Art is coordinator and part-time lecturer in ‘Music & Media’ studies (Master of Music program) at Wesley Institute , Sydney Australia, 2007 – 2013, and has written and published the study material for three master of music subjects; Music & Moving Image, Film & Television Music Analysis and Music & Media. He also has lectured in Ethnomusicology for Wesley¹s Bachelor Degree program.
He is also part-time lecturer at the Australian International Conservatorium of Music (AICM), 2008 – 2013, where he has written subjects for the Graduate degree program; Songwriting 1, Conducting I & II, Arranging & Orchestration I & II, Music & Moving Image, Music & Media and World Music. In 2009, Art was invited as Senior Visiting Fellow to the ‘Australian International Conservatorium Of Music’ (AICM).
Over the past 18 years Art has also written and delivered subjects to students at Griffith University (Gold Coast campus), Queensland Conservatorium of Music (Southbank campus, Brisbane), Australian Institute of Music (Sydney), Central Queensland University (Mackay), Australian Film Television & Radio School (AFTRS – Sydney) and Toho Gakuen College (Tokyo, Japan).
Art is councillor for the ‘Music Council of Australia’, representing ‘Music in Film and Television’, 2005 – 2014.
